I was sending a love note to you
thinking this time I had said
just the right words
to melt your heart
and soften your resistance.
While licking the stamp
I got a paper cut on my tongue
and knew your answer.

The Poetry of Bill Graffius.
A poem from when I was a younger man and in love with a woman who did not return the emotion. Note how dated this poem is - stamps? licking the stamp!?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm
I was texting a luv note 2 U
thinking this time I had said
just the right acronyms
to melt your heart
and soften your resistance.
While pushing the send button
I got a "call lost" message
and knew your answer.
